Indian Knowledge System & Their Relevance Among Youth – An Invited Talk by Padma Shri Dr. Kiran Seth at Santhigiri Siddha Medical College
Indian Knowledge Traditions Must Be Studied to Awaken Creativity in Students — Padma Shri Dr. Kiran Seth.
Students can awaken their creativity only by exploring and understanding the ancient Indian knowledge traditions, said Padma Shri Dr. Kiran Seth. He was addressing BSMS students during an Invited Talk Series session held at Santhigiri Siddha Medical College.
“In this modern age dominated by artificial intelligence, the human mind is becoming restless like that of a monkey. Parents are increasingly compelled to seek help from counselors and psychiatrists. Today’s students often struggle with stress, anxiety, and depression, preventing them from realizing their full creative potential,” Dr. Seth said.
He added that India’s heritage integrates art, literature, culture, and knowledge into a beautiful and holistic system of learning. “It is essential that we recognize and revive these values to guide our youth,” he emphasized.
The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. R. Neelavathy, Principal, Santhigiri Siddha Medical College. P. Sudeep, CEO of Santhigiri Foundation; Unnikrishna Warrier, Sreekanth P. Krishnan, and Brahmaputhran, State Coordinators of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth); Prof. Dr. G. Mohanambigai, Academic Coordinator, and K. Logeshwaran, Students’ Union Chairman, also spoke.
