Graduation Ceremony Celebrates 17th BSMS Batch at Santhigiri Siddha Medical College

Santhigiri Siddha Medical College proudly conducted the graduation ceremony for the seventeenth batch of BSMS students. The event was officially inaugurated by Santhigiri Ashram General Secretary, Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi. In his keynote address, Swami Gururethnam highlighted the foundation of Santhigiri’s healthcare philosophy rooted in the Nava Arogya Dharma Siddhanta, established by Navajyotisree Karunakara Guru. He emphasized the growing significance of integrated healthcare systems blending traditional and modern sciences.The ceremony’s chief guest, Dr. Divya S. Iyer IAS, Director of the Department of Culture, inspired graduates by underscoring the critical role every Siddha practitioner plays in validating the science and relevance of Siddha medicine today. She urged the new doctors to engage in lifelong learning and research to uphold the rich legacy of Siddha medicine.Presiding over the event was College Principal Prof. Dr. R. Neelavathi, with Director Dr. Janani Nishchitha Jnana Thapaswini among the dignitaries present. Esteemed guests included Adv. V. Bhushan (Retd. Additional Secretary), Dr. Devin Prabhakar (Vice Chairman, Divyaprabha Eye Hospital), and Santhigiri Foundation CEO P. Sudeep, along with other senior faculty and administrators.A total of 33 graduates from various districts across Kerala received their degrees before an audience of over 500 attendees. The celebrations included a vibrant musical performance by the Trivandrum Mail team.
