Educational Field Visit – Shanthigiri Siddha Medical College Students
Second Professional BSMS and Final Professional BSMS students (28 students), accompanied by three faculty members, participated in an Educational Field Visit to Madurai, Thoothukudi, Sivagangai and Kanyakumari on 02 and 03 March 2026 as part of their academic curriculum.
During the visit, students explored medicinal plants, natural mineral sources and marine products used in Siddha medicine through field-based learning activities.

- Geological / Natural Ores identification at V.O. Chidambaram College
- Pharmacy visit at Aravindh Herbals
- Marine product identification at Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute
- Marine product collection at Kanyakumari
The visit provided students with valuable hands-on exposure and practical knowledge, enriching their understanding of Siddha medicinal resources.
