Udal Koorugal (Anatomy) is a basic part of medical science that deals with the structural organisation of the body. This subject is taught in different dimensional forms, like gross, microscopic, developmental, clinical, and surgical anatomy with orientation to latest findings in modern medical science and Siddha principles.\n
\nThe Department of Udal Koorugal \u00a0is well facilitated with a separate dissection hall for Cadavers, a tutorial room and a museum, as per norms prescribed sufficiently with human dry and wet specimens of muscular skeletons, bone sets, internal organs, clay models and charts.\n
\nThe tutorial\/demonstration room in the department is well equipped with adjustable seating systems, a LCD projector with a speaker, and microscopes for histological studies. The dissecting hall is equipped with stainless steel top dissecting tables, dissection and sectioning equipment apart from other necessary instruments. Cadavers are stored in the storage tank with preservatives. Dissection of the human body is performed regularly for the students to acquire comprehensive knowledge.\n
\nIntensive practical training offered in the Anatomy department will enable the students to become competent physicians in Siddha Medicine and motivate them to pursue post graduation degree in Siddha Surgery in the future. The teaching and learning practices implemented in this department will provide the students with skills in treating patients in addition to critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and leadership.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
